IYAP (Isiolo Youth Against Aids and Poverty)

My friends at IYAP, who run an HIV/AIDS VCT (Voluntary Counseling and Testing) Center as well as many community programs, are highlighted in two posts in the blog: HIV In Kenya.

You can read the posts about Isiolo and the services that IYAP are providing, including an all night testing service that highlights testing for sex workers and those out and about at night, here:

Hi Michael
Thanks for mentioning these posts. IYAP are thinking of putting together a blog, which I think is a good idea, always better for things to be first hand. I'm returning to Kenya next week so I hope to visit Isiolo again, I'm pleased to hear you met the people at IYAP when you were there. You still working with HIV related issues?
Regards
Simon

I haven't been in touch with IYAP for a while, but will give them a call soon to encourage them to start a blog! Not working with HIV currently. I had been working with resettling refugees in the U.S., but the funding dried up, so currently I'm trying to figure something new out. That's why I'm scouring the web these days to keep updated!
